About Aarts Form
My name is Laura Aarts.
My name is Laura Aarts. Ever since I was young, my life has revolved around water polo and especially that one unique place in the water: the goal.
Since I started playing water polo at the age of eleven, I have always been a goalkeeper. How I got into the sport is actually quite a funny story, because I did not come from a water polo family at all. At the time, I was playing football in a mixed team, and one of my teammates invited us to try water polo as a team outing. After that first session, I got out of the water and told my mother enthusiastically that I wanted to play water polo, and that same week I attended my first training.
I was hooked immediately. For me, water polo is an incredible sport because playing in the water brings so many challenges. You have to swim, duel, shoot, and jump without having solid ground beneath your feet. It demands a lot from both your body and your mind. That, combined with the team spirit and the fight to win together, is what makes water polo magical to me.
Throughout my career, I have competed at the highest level, gaining experience in both national and international competitions. Along the way, I realized how unique, yet often overlooked, the goalkeeper position is. While field players usually benefit from structured coaching and development, goalkeepers too often rely on occasional specialist sessions, individual coaches, or limited attention during team practices.
That is exactly why I founded Aarts Form.
Aarts Form was created from my passion for helping goalkeepers reach their full potential while giving the goalkeeper position the recognition, appreciation, and structure it deserves. Every program, training session, and piece of educational content is built on my experience as an international professional goalkeeper and focuses on the complete development of the athlete, technically, physically, tactically, and mentally.
Aarts Form is designed for goalkeepers, coaches, clubs, and organizations that are committed to investing in high-quality goalkeeper development. Through academies, clinics, camps, video feedback, e-learning, and knowledge sharing, we make specialist goalkeeper education more accessible, more consistent, and more visible for athletes of all ages, levels, and countries.
My mission is to build an international goalkeeper community where goalkeepers and coaches can learn, grow, and inspire one another. A place where knowledge is not limited by language, location, or level, but where every goalkeeper has access to the guidance needed to unlock their full potential.
